NZEB (NEARLY ZERO ENERGY BUILDING)
NZEB (Nearly Zero Energy Building) is a building with close to zero energy consumption. In NZEB buildings the annual amount of consumed energy is almost equal to the amount of renewable energy generated by a house itself through heat pumps, solar panels, high-efficient windows and construction insulation.
In terms of translucent structures installation NZEB provides the arranging of connection units according to the “external installation” and “warm circuit installation” technologies, which exclude the possibility of heat exchange between highly conductive materials (e.g., the translucent structures frame and the core of the opaque enclosing structure).
The National Action Plan for Energy Efficiency of Ukraine for the period up to 2030 provides that starting from 2026 it will be prohibited to build public sector facilities with an energy efficiency class below NZEB, and from 2028 – this should be the case for new projects.
